Saturday, April 12th EAA 92 Young Eagles event, Chino Airport08:24 AM, Thu Mar 13, 2008
The next event is Saturday April 12th, 10:00am Chino Airport.
Several of our “usual suspect” ground crew are unavailable that weekend so we need additional EAA members to volunteer. It is a great chance to share in the excitement as young people discover the wonder of flight!

*** Note: There is a new form that MUST be used for Young Eagles. Online forms printed from the web site can no longer be accepted due to new rules. If the parent/guardian cannot come to the event to sign the form then email me and I will try to mail a copy to them.

Go to http://ye.pacstates.com for the latest info

WHEN SIGNING UP BE CAREFUL! Chapter 7 is also using our web site now. They may have events that you must scroll past to sign-up for our event.

Pilots.

The following requirements are necessary for ALL pilots who wish to participate in the Young Eagles Program:

Current National EAA member
Airman’s certificate
Current Biennial Flight Review
Current Medical certificate
Currency in the aircraft used
Aircraft liability insurance

Each pilot must have aircraft passenger seat liability insurance. For those EAA members who choose to insure at a level of $100,000 per passenger seat, EAA will automatically provide an additional $1,000,000 liability umbrella policy. This coverage is only in effect while participating in Young Eagle Flights. Pilots who choose to insure at lower levels may still participate, however the additional insurance will not apply. Some confusion has surfaced because of EAA's supplemental $1 million blanket liability policy. Simply stated, if a pilot carries liability insurance they can participate in the Young Eagles Program. If a pilot has $100,000 per seat or more in coverage, EAA has an additional $1 million blanket policy that will supplement their insurance.

You must be a member of EAA national to fly young eagles. If you are not currently a member and would like to become a member of EAA national please contact Cliff Carpenter 30 days or more prior to the event so we can process the paperwork. Special arrangements can be made for Young Eagle Pilots.

Please sign up online.
Call Cliff (714-850-2854) or Vince (951-201-3730) if you need assistance.

Pilots: To expedite operations, we will be providing flight path & pilot
briefing info Saturday at 9:30am. The goal is to start flying as soon
as possible.

Volunteers: Let's sign in online - it helps alleviate our number one
question: "Who's going to be there?" We definitely want to hit the
ground running on Saturday. Start time for volunteers will be 8:00am at Chino base-ops to move the tents, BBQ, etc. over to Planes-Of-Fame air museum. Also, let's try to review procedures before 9:00am - it is one less variable during the day.

Let's all check in, and let's make the first 2008 Young Eagle event the best one yet!

Thanks,
-Cliff
