The first Young Eagles Rally will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 20TH starting at PLANES OF FAME AIR MUSEUM for registration, overview of the day, video and museum tour and then on to CALAERO COUNTRY CLUB/ACADEMY HANGARS at the flight line/tower for ground School, lunch and flights with on-line regisration at ye.pacstates.con with a limit of 80 Young Eagles for participation.
The Rally will begin at 10:00AM with registration at PLANES OF FAME AIR MUSEUM(forms must be completed with parent signature, name badge and logbook in hand it is off to the theater for overview of the day, video and museum tour.School.
Ground School is located at CAL AERO COUNTRY CLUB/ACADEMY HANGARS facing the tower and flight-line. This is a fun filled 2 hours of making a FPG-9 foam glider, instrument panel demonstration, pre-flight ground inspection on a airplane and an interactive Q&A session with pilots and aviation instructiors. Then the Young Eagle is ready for flight time. Each Young Eagle can have their pilot fill-in their log book to document their experience. Lunch is provided. After the adventure is over, each Young Eagle receives a Participation bag complete with a pilot signed YE certificate, balsa airplane to build, a "Learn to Fly" book provided by Gleim Publishing and the scret code that goes with the logbook provided by Sporty's Pilot shop. A $20.00 donation is requested to off-set materials costs.
